I saw this film in 3D when it first came out. We were on holiday and my husband knew just how much I love animated films with a difference...and, wow, was I delighted with this one! My son got it for me when the Blue Ray version came out and we watched it again, though none of us could cope with the 3D glasses provided, all of us found the 2D Blue Ray quite stunning. I just wish they had not bothered sending the 3D version with it, as we all felt a bit conned at being unable to have anything remotely like the cinema 3D experiencing (though we were aware that the technology used here was different). However, the film content makes up for it all - and when we watched it today, after a long break...I realised that it was almost a new experience. There were so many little details I had missed in earlier viewings; a real test of a good film! I am also no nearer solving the riddle of the words to the Bruno Coulais sound track. Definitely not French, but more like Carl Jenkins use of sounds in Adiemus that is written to match the music, with the odd word thrown in to tease the listener into believing it is in a known language.
