Dont get me wrong i love everything to do with doctor who but torchwood compared to this is crap.
The main reason i LOVE this is because it has Sarah Jane in it if you didnt notice in the title LOL!!! and she is the only thing to come back in the new series that ive acctually liked (i lie. i also love the new sontarans)
A really good spin off which is more entertaining then the new who.

Great DVD, same type of stories like Doctor Who. Great story episodes. So glad to see Sarah Jane back from the Doctor Who series. Great for any Doctor Who fans. Hope to see this keep continue.

This is the very first series of the Sarah Jane adventures, full of real, Doctor Who type monsters including the Slitheen, a gorgon and a new monster, the Trickster. The series features the following episodes:
Invasion of the bane
Revenge of the Slitheen part 1 & 2
Eye of the gorgon part 1 & 2
Whatever happened to Sarah Jane part 1 & 2
The lost boy part 1 & 2
Its a brilliant science fiction series that is bound to make you laugh and jump. 10/10! GREAT!!!!!

I had to buy this dvd as I'd just watched the second series and wanted to know more about the characters and how they came about. If you like Dr Who then you will love the sarah jane adventures and I can't wait for series 3 to come out. It's listed as a children's dvd but really should have the same label as Dr Who as it appeals to both children and adults alike. It's brilliant family entertainment with Sarah Jane doing pretty much what Dr Who does with the help of her son (human but made by aliens) and his 2/3 schoolfriends and aided by Sarah Jane's computer, Mr Smith. Sarah Jane even has a sonic screwdriver just like the Doctor! The storylines are great and I particularly liked the episode when Sarah Jane goes back in time and meets her parents and herself as a baby. Great viewing :-)
